Why is nobody talking about SEGA? ($SGAMY)
I’ve been following this sub for years and I honestly can’t remember seeing SEGA brought up here once. And maybe there’s a good reason for that, which is exactly why I’m posting this. I’ve been looking into SEGA SAMMY recently and I think there might actually be a pretty interesting turnaround here. SEGA owns an absolutely ridiculous collection of IP: Sonic Persona Like a Dragon Total War Football Manager Atlus Angry Birds They’ve obviously had some problems. The GaaS/mobile strategy didn’t work out the way they wanted, Rovio hasn’t performed great, and they’ve missed some of their own targets. But they’re starting to shift back toward their strongest IP and full-game development, while the financials are starting to improve: FY26 revenue was up ~14%. Q1 FY27 revenue was up YoY. Operating income went from a loss to a profit. And a lot of their major releases are weighted toward the second half of the fiscal year.
