Take a hike and the anniversary
Hey all, tomorrow, Sept 16th and 34 years to the day is the anniversary of one of the greatest trades to ever take place and it involved George Soros, Stanley Druckenmiller and none other than Scott Bessent. The trio would go to bet that the British Pound would fall and of course it did netting them a billion dollars of profit in one day and crippling the Bank of England (The British version of the FED). Stanley Druckenmiller who was Scott Bessents' mentor is now saying his student is in trouble but Bessent doesn't agree! I like the fact that it's both the anniversary and also most likely the day we get a rate hike from the FED.
